How to use this website

Crockford online is a subscription-based website. However, the following facilities are available free of charge:

• Search people or places in the database and view lists of search results
• Browse the database at diocese and archdeaconry level to find the names of current bishops, archdeacons, cathedral clergy, diocesan office contacts and other information
• Access the Listings section, which includes lists of chaplains, bishops in the House of Lords, theological training institutions and more
• Read useful guides in the Help section, including a new glossary of Key Terms and our popular advice on to How to address the clergy.

The following features are available to subscribers only:

• Access full biographical and contact details for individuals
• Browse the database and deanery and parish level
• View appointment histories for individual parishes and benefices 
• View details of national bodies serving the Church of England (Year Book content)
• Explore relevant organizations, societies and charities (Year Book content)
• Access the Who's Who directory of key figures, lay and ordained (Year Book content)

An individual subscription to Crockford online costs just £40 a year for online Crockford content or £57 for yearbook and online content.
