There are a number of different ways in which you can search the Crockford database.

Normal search

You can search for a clergyperson or benefice by using the search facility located on the left hand side of every page. Type in the name of the person or benefice that you are looking for (step 1) and then select which type of search you wish to do from the dropdown box (step 2). Finally, click the Search button (step 3) to begin the search.

Advanced search

If you wish to narrow down your search in specific ways, you can use the Advanced search facility. The advanced search allows you to decide how the search should match against your search text and even whether you wish to search in particular dioceses.

Education search

The education search allows you to look up a particular theological college and then look for a particular year's class so that you can look for former friends and colleagues with whom you, or someone you know, may have trained.
